Bryan Wamsley is an award winning self-taught photographer based in Cleveland, Ohio. He bought his first camera in February, 2019 with the intention of learning to take pictures in order to capture Elle’s high school field hockey and lacrosse games. Shortly after convincing his father to come over to sign for the delivery of his first camera, a Canon T6i, he took it to Oak Lodge and Seven Springs, PA. On that ski trip, Bryan first discovered the joy of photographing loved ones and beautiful landscapes.
Since 2019, while working his full time job as a teacher and administrator at Hawken School, Bryan has dedicated himself to learning the art and science of photography. He has spent countless mornings and evenings shooting various subjects in Lakeside, Ohio and around his home in Cleveland. As Becca will attest, in addition to his day job, he spends countless hours reading and watching YouTube videos about photography, and he is always up early in the morning to shoot. One day, Bryan hopes to convince Becca to model for him.
In the summer of 2020, Bryan’s photo, Fishin’ Buddies, won 1st place in the adult division of the 45th Annual Lakeside Photography Show.
